WELCOME TO ARTS FESTIVAL 2012

Saturday 14th July to Sunday 29th July

We have been organising around 40 Workshops tutored by some of the leading and most respected tutors in Australia including some great local tutors – and expect that almost all workshops will be fully booked, so get in early when the registration form appears here in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to all prospective participants for your support, and we hope you are as delighted by the workshops as we are to be able to offer them.

This exciting second Biennial Arts Festival has been made possible by many supporters and sponsors. We thank them deeply for sharing our vision of creating an Arts Festival that will transform cultural life on Bribie and beyond.

If you have never been to the Arts Centre, you are in for a huge surprise. We are nestled amongst a forest of Banksia Trees and other native vegetation. The Centre comprises of an Exhibition Gallery with three spaces for the sale and promotion of member’s work. It has five fully functional workshop areas. In the grounds surrounding the Art Centre there are separate Gem, Faceting and Woodcraft facilities.

The concept need for such a place and the hard work and dedication by a small group of community members turned this from a dream to a reality. We owe these people a great deal of gratitude for their efforts, not just fundraising, but also obtaining local council, state and federal government support and funding.

We look forward to welcoming you to our festival. We promise you great fun, supportive environment, terrific food and great tuition.
