Master Pastellist Chris has a natural talent as a realist artist. She loves to paint and draw and has been painting, exhibiting, and selling her work for over 28 years. In the last 9 years Chris has been working almost exclusively in Pastel, enjoying their vibrant colours and immediacy, which excites her and she is very passionate about working with this medium. In July 2007 Chris achieved Master Pastellist status from The Pastel Society of Australia. |
Living on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland (with her family for the past 16 years) has inspired a variety of subjects, figures, portraits, animals, seascapes & some flowers. Chris’ passion is painting figures, she enjoys portraying her view of the world, like the charm of children at play, ballerinas’ or people enjoying the different aspects of life. Her paintings capture precious moments in everyday life that tell a story, appealing to a wide audience and hence her work is very popular. Chris currently paints full time, exhibits her work and teaches workshops in pastel.
