This new group at the moment is small, with all members owning Embellishing machines, which do 'dry felting' and embellishing with various textiles and yarns.
The Fuzzy Felters are not a teaching group, but share and pass on information, working different themes, as suggested by members. New members are welcome,
The group hopes to expand to include various textile and yarn interest groups, including knitting, crochet, traditional wet felting, spinning and weaving, dyeing various fibres and textiles, etc. as many of these skills overlap, and may be shared.
WORKING TOGETHER FEES:
Members $3.50 per session and non-members $4.50 per session.
MEETING TIMES:
First and third Mondays each month, 9.00am- to around 3.00pm.
MACHINES ALL NEED TO TAGGED:
Arrangements may be made with an electrician, most Monday mornings, costing $1.00 per machine.
SOCIALS AND FUNCTIONS:
Nothing planned at the moment, but members take advantage of available workshops off the Island, and share their books and skills.
The group is invited to a local craft fair on the island in April, to demonstrate the embellishing machine, and publicize the group.
