Leadlighting is a very ancient art form as can be attested to by the old churches. There have been many attempts to imitate the old masters works without success.
The essence of leadlighting is controlling the light as it filters through glass of different Hughes and textures creating a
unique fusion of light and art.
Much of the success of leadlighting, as a hobby, can be attributed to the fact that learning the craft itself is
completely achievable. Broken down into various stages the construction of a leadlight panel loses much of its mystery.
Cutting the glass, assembling the pieces, soldering the joints, putty and detailing the project.
The finished article is unique, as you have chosen the colours and created your own piece of art that will last indefinitely.
